CNC plasma cutter calibration
Every CR Plasma CNC cutting machine is individually calibrated for height control. Our height controller can regulate the plasma to within half a Volt of the controller set point. The voltage potential between the torch tip and the table is directly proportional to the height of the torch. It’s the height we are interested in as the actual cut height determines cut quality and consumable life. This photo shows the feeler gauges used to verify the height. The controller is stopped mid-cut and the height is tested for verification of controller performance.
